Mr. Rogers used to say, “There is only one you.” If we are all unique, then how can we possibly compare ourselves with other people? This is like comparing apples with pineapples. On the other hand, if we accept that we are different, then I think the question could change to: How can I become the best me? What do I need to do to become better at what I want to do or want to accomplish? And we would set our goals to express our unique gifts, rather than trying to do what someone else is doing.
Michelangelo said, “If people knew how hard I worked to get my mastery, it wouldn’t seem so wonderful at all.” I think that people succeed at something because they love doing it and consequently they spend a lot of time doing it. So spend time doing what you love and in the process, a way to use what you love to help the world will arise. When it does, take action.
The ICWIB activities are a great way to open up your heart and gain a deeper sense of what you really love and have to share with the world.
I invite you to explore some of the ICWIB art activities and videos for FREE.
