Did you know that if as a child you experienced emotional, physical, or sexual abuse; emotional or physical neglect; or were exposed to household substance abuse, mental illness, incarceration, separation or divorce, that you are at an increase of almost anything bad you can imagine? In fact, if you experience more than three of these, your risk for heart disease is even higher than if you smoke.
This short video clip by Dr. Bruce Perry can provide you with an understanding of how adversity in your early years can make a huge difference in how your body and brain organizes and functions and how ultimately that impacts your long-term health. This is because the more often you experienced extreme prolonged or chaotic stress activation, the more often you activate your stress response in a chaotic, disproportionate, persistent, and deregulated way. Over time, this can wear out your organs, impact your brain, and make your central nervous system not function as well.
Learning how to restore balance in the brainstem can help both children and adults reverse the impact of childhood adversity. With this in mind, I invite you to explore some of the ICWIB! activities for FREE, because they contain the necessary components needed to restore balance in the brain stem.
Also, in a recent interview, Dr. Bruce Lipton said, “Freedom is the ability to create without the limitation of generational programming. The I Create What I Believe! (ICWIB!) Program is a gateway and a pathway into a new and better future because it allows children to fully express themselves and to not be limited by the beliefs that have been passed down from generation to generation. This program also frees up children’s minds and allows their creative nature to create a better world for all of us, which is what we need right now!”
