I grew-up in an environment that held higher education in extremely high regard. It wasn’t until later in life that I came to realize that I also was taught indirectly that those who had a higher academic education were better than those without.
I don’t feel this is true. I feel the most important thing in life is to discover your true nature and figure out the best way to share that with the world. You could do this by being a doctor, a lawyer, or a teacher, but you also do it by working in a gas station, being a grocery checker, waitress or garbage collector. It is not what you do; it is the attitude, heart, and authenticity that you bring to the job that impacts the world. The job is just the vehicle.
I came to this different way of thinking because in my twenties I did many different jobs. During that time I worked for AT&T as a service rep, worked as a waitress, movement teacher, roulette dealer, and a pastry chef. It was in those different work situations that I got to meet, work for and work with many different kinds of people. It was also during that time that I personally got to see the falsehood of what I had been led to believe. I got to see that it is the work ethic, the heart, the respect for others, and the willingness to go the extra mile and the quality of the human being that was important.
Some people’s nature is more introverted and sedentary, while others might find their authentic nature is more out going and requires lots of motion. Some people are more linear thinkers, while others may be more heart based individuals. Whatever unique qualities you have, take the time to discover them, and then find a way to share them with the world.
With this in mind, I invite you to explore some of the ICWIB! art activities and videos for FREE because they are an easy way to reconnect more deeply with yourself and uncover your own unique gift to share with the world.
Also, in a recent interview, Dr. Bruce Lipton said, “Freedom is the ability to create without the limitation of generational programming. The I Create What I Believe! (ICWIB!) Program is a gateway and a pathway into a new and better future because it allows children to fully express themselves and to not be limited by the beliefs that have been passed down from generation to generation. This program also frees up children’s minds and allows their creative nature to create a better world for all of us, which is what we need right now!”
