Sponsor a Teacher
If you are interested in helping to bring the I Create What I Believe! program into school classrooms you can either purchase a kit for a teacher you know or sponsor a teacher who has posted a request here on our website.
Sponsored teachers have agreed to provide monthly updates of how they are using the program and the results they are finding. These findings will be posted each month so that you can see the results of your generosity.
As a way of introducing the teachers that are requesting sponsorship, we will post the following: number of years teaching experience, current grade they are teaching, geographical location (East, South, Mid-West, North, and West), indicate whether school is in a rural or urban community, the socioeconomics of the community the school serves, and reason for the request.
Example:
I have 15 years of teaching experience and am currently teaching in a small school in poor rural community in the Mid-West. There are 28 students in my classroom. The population is approximately 40% white, 30% Hispanic, and the remainder being Native American. Free lunch is received by 80% of our students. I think this program can help with some of the stresses that plague this school and community.
Drug use is on the rise as well as divorce and domestic abuse. I feel this stems from the community as a whole not having the knowledge of how stress affects the mind or effective techniques to handle the current rise in stress. I am interested in using this program in the classroom with my students and also offering the same information and techniques in free workshops for their parents. I think this comprehensive approach will ultimately encourage and provide the support that is needed for my students to excel. Purchasing a kit would create additional financial strain, so I would appreciate the sponsorship.
We will not be revealing the name of the teacher, school, or the precise school location for privacy reasons. You may choose to sponsor a teacher in a specific location (Eastern) or a community size (rural or urban). We will let you know when we have matched your donation with a teacher. We will also share a quarterly progress report from your teacher during the school year of your donation, so you can enjoy the details of how your generosity is making a difference.
