Whenever I begin a new journey or project I ask myself a series of questions to help me focus my mind and stay on course. Here are some of the questions I ask: What is my ultimate goal? Why is this important? Who will it impact? Where is it needed the most? When does it need to happen and how can I best approach this new project or journey?
From my perspective, the ‘how’ is the natural way you like to share your ‘what’ with the world. It can also refer to the modality that you use to share your ‘what’ or unique perspective with the world. I am a very visual person with great love for humor. As a result, I often use funny images and metaphors to describe what I am seeing or the deeper meaning I sense in a seemingly ordinary situation. This is my way, but not necessarily your way. It is always important to remember the ‘how’, just like the ‘what’ and the ‘why’ is unique to you. This is something you have to uncover through trial and error, because rarely does someone else’s approach really fit you like a glove.
So how can you discover the ‘how? I think you discover it in the same way you uncovered your ‘what’ and your ‘why’—through inward reflection and exploration.
The ICWIB activities are a simple way to go inward and discover your ‘how’ or the best way for you to share your gift with the world.
I invite you to explore some of the ICWIB art activities and videos for FREE.
