I first met Bruce Lipton in 1990. It was a magical meeting of two minds that shared a burning desire to facilitate educational change. At the time, he was a fellow in Pathology at Stanford Medical School. He had just proved in a lab that it is our beliefs and perceptions, not our genes, which control our biology. Out of his discovery came the logical corollary that a change in beliefs can substantially change the course of an entire life. Since that time, Bruce’s discovery has generated significant impact on the evolution of science, medicine and the lives of thousands.
I can still remember him sitting in my living room and him talking about how he wanted to get his scientific findings into the hands of parents and teachers so children having trouble in school could be treated with new understanding and offered a much more effective way to make needed changes. The way, of course, would be based on the new science he had discovered as it applies to the real source of inner conflicts that can hinder a child’s ability to grow and learn.
That fall afternoon 24 years ago planted a seed in me, while my background in art and movement gave me the expressive tools I needed to create an application of Dr. Lipton’s discoveries in the educational field. Almost daily ideas tossed around in my head looking for a way to structure the information and a method to make it happen. Then one morning I awoke with an idea of a way to accomplish what Bruce had said he wanted many years before. The vision I had was the I Create What I Believe! (ICWIB) program. I immediately called Bruce to ask him if my idea would work. He said it was a great idea—It was simple, easy to implement, scientifically sound, and self-initiated.
That was 10 years ago.
I have spent the last ten years developing and teaching the ICWIB program to parents, teachers, and individuals who wanted to make a significant change in their life. Upon hearing about the amazing success stories teachers were having with the ICWIB program, Bruce decided he wanted to create a video https://icreatewhatibelieve.com/inaction.html to send out to the people on his mailing list that explained from a scientific point of view how the ICWIB program works, and why it is so important for our youth today.
I hope you enjoy the video.
