In this one-minute animated video clip, Dr. Bruce Perry briefly lays out the six core strengths for healthy child development. He explains how the brain develops from infancy through childhood into adolescence, and how the acquisition of new capabilities is built upon the attainment of the core functions. He goes on to talk about how the love and care that an infant receives, before complex thought begins, directly affects this development.
As Dr. Perry has stated before: “Tolerance, one of the six core strengths, helps the brain accept differences amongst the larger whole and the recognition that diversity is good. The world needs the strengths of multiple people; we are stronger when there is diversity.”
One of the ways you can help even a very young child learn how to self-regulate is theICWIB! Program. With this in mind, I invite you to explore some of the ICWIB! art activities and videos for FREE after you watch Dr. Perry’s video.
Also, in a recent interview, Dr. Bruce Lipton said, “Freedom is the ability to create without the limitation of generational programming. The I Create What I Believe! (ICWIB!) Program is a gateway and a pathway into a new and better future because it allows children to fully express themselves and to not be limited by the beliefs that have been passed down from generation to generation. This program also frees up children’s minds and allows their creative nature to create a better world for all of us, which is what we need right now!”
