To begin with, I love people, especially the short ones. Their hearts are pure, and they tend to have clarity about what they want and/or need.
Here is my story for today:
It was early in the morning, and we were in a big box store. As we moved down a large aisle, I notice a young child walking with his parents. The minute he saw me he broke away from holding his parents’ hands and ran straight to me. When he arrived at my side, he laid his body over me and wrapped his arms around my neck. His parents came running after him offering their apologizes as they ran to retrieve their young child.
Nancy accepted their apologies and they walked away with their young child.
A few minutes later the child broke away again from his parents and ran straight towards me. His parents once again offered apologizes and walked away with their young child.
Then the child broke away a third time and ran towards me. When he reached my side, he once again wrapped himself around me. But this time, Nancy took a different approach. Even though no one is supposed to touch me when I am wearing my medical alert jacket, she decided to make an exception. She squatted down next to me and instructed me to sit. Then she began talking to the little boy. “Do you know that Alex is a really good dog, and he likes young children like you. Why do you like his so much?” In reply he said, “He makes me feel happy inside”.
Well, I will tell you those words really made my day!
Nancy then asked him if he would like to give me a goodbye kiss?
He said yes! He then leaned over and gave me a kiss. I think I will remember this moment for a very long time. It filled my heart to see how unconditional love can make a difference.
I think it is important to remember we all have the capacity to make a difference just by having an open heart and mind. I think allowing yourself to give love and receive love is the greatest way to bring about positive change in the world.
We are all connected so every decision we make will impact everyone and every being not just in this country but around the globe. So, choose wisely. Choose with your heart, your mind, and your soul. Focus on making a choice that can make a positive difference in the world.
Then if you want additional support in your decision making, I suggest you explore the I Create What I Believe (ICWIB) program where my friend Luke will demonstrate the ICWIB activities and/or attend the FREE Drawing in the Now classes that are taught by Nancy Marie over Zoom the first and third Monday of the month from 4:30 pm-5:00 pm PST.
