It is hard for me to grasp the lack of sensitivity in some humans.
Here is my story:
Nancy and I were walking across the parking lot to go into a store. Ahead of us I saw a man and a woman walking out of the store and walking towards us. The gentleman was walking maybe 15 feet in front of the woman. As he got closer, I noticed that he began to purposely walk towards me. I began to feel a bit uncomfortable because I wasn’t sure what his intentions were. It didn’t feel like love or kindness, but rather hostility. But why was he focusing on me? What was this about?
Well, a few seconds later I got my answer.
As he got next to me, he said, “I know I am not supposed to pet a service dog, but I am going to do it anyway.” And with that he reached down and ran his hand across my back. It was not a pleasant touch, instead it felt a little creepy. I was used to feeling love and appreciation when someone touched me. The touch of his hand had a cold, chilling, and confusing effect on me. Nancy immediately wrapped her hand and arm around my head and pulled me closer and said, “Just let it go! He must be a very unhappy man to behave like that.”
From time to time, you may encounter people who purposely dump or blame their unhappiness on you. When that happens remember what Nancy said to me. “Just let it go! Those icky feelings don’t belong to you. He must be a very unhappy man to treat others so rudely.”
Instead in those moments imagine me wrapping my legs and paws around you, whispering sweet things in your ear, and pulling you closer so you feel safe, loved, and cherished.
If you need some help visualizing me loving you back to yourself, I suggest you explore the I Create What I Believe (ICWIB) program where my friend Luke will demonstrate the ICWIB activities and/or attend the FREE Drawing in the Now classes that are taught by Nancy Marie over Zoom the first and third Monday of the month from 4:30 pm-5:00 pm PST.

In a recent interview Dr. Bruce Lipton said, “…Freedom is the ability to create without the limitation of generational programming. The I Create What I Believe! (ICWIB!) Program is a gateway and a pathway into a new and better future because it allows children and (adults) to fully express themselves and to not be limited by the beliefs that have been passed down from generation to generation. This program also frees up children’s and (adults’) minds and allows their creative nature to create a better world for all of us, which is what we need right now!”
