Today I want to talk about Veterans Day, what it symbolizes and what you can do to help our Veterans and their families.
To begin with, don’t confuse Veterans Day with Memorial Day, because Memorial Day (the fourth Monday in May) honors American service members who died in service to their country or because of injuries incurred during battle, while the purpose of Veterans Day is to honor all individuals who have served in the U.S. Military, both living and deceased, and in both wartime and peace time.
Originally Veterans Day was known as Armistice Day to commemorate the end of World War I. After World War II, the name was changed from Armistice Day to Veterans Day to ensure all veterans were included, not just those from World War.
So, what can we do to honor those that have fought for us and our country?
What can we do to support the ones that have gone to battle for all of us? How can we serve the ones who felt the calling to serve and protect our nation even when it meant sacrificing even their lives to keep our country safe and whole.
Now I have never been in the military or even been trained to be a k-9 dog, but I do know that being clear on my purpose and determined to make a difference has been and continues to be a life altering decision. I found that in the beginning, it allowed me to see a bigger picture and at the same time see how my small acts could support and make a difference in many people’s lives.
That awareness has kept me grounded and helped me see and how even my little acts of kindness and compassion could help bring about a better way for everyone.
As we move forward, let’s approach each day with the intent to fight for our service members and their families. Let’s look for opportunities where we can give back to those who have given their all. Let’s root out and expose those who pretend to care while at the same time lie, diminish, and try to crush our everyday heroes with their arrogant, entitled, and disgusting behavior.
Let’s become whole and let that wholeness resonate and transform the tide of fear, and abuse they are trying to use to divide and destroy all we hold sacred. Let’s all find a way we can help to weave all of us into a force that brings this dishonest and abusive behavior to an end. I wish things were different now, and there wasn’t so much dishonest and negative energy today, but there is. In response we can recoil or reach out and commit to making a change.
If you would like some help remembering how to connect more deeply with yourself, your purpose and your desire to make significant change,
I suggest you explore the I Create What I Believe (ICWIB) program where my friend Luke will demonstrate the ICWIB activities and/or attend the FREE Drawing in the Now classes that are taught by Nancy Marie over Zoom the first and third Monday of the month from 4:30 pm-5:00 pm PST.
You can also explore by yourself some of the ICWIB activities https://icreatewhatibelieve.com/explore/ that can help you in this deeply rewarding process.

In a recent interview Dr. Bruce Lipton said, “…Freedom is the ability to create without the limitation of generational programming. The I Create What I Believe! (ICWIB!) Program is a gateway and a pathway into a new and better future because it allows children and (adults) to fully express themselves and to not be limited by the beliefs that have been passed down from generation to generation. This program also frees up children’s and (adults’) minds and allows their creative nature to create a better world for all of us, which is what we need right now!”
