How do you respond when your heart says, ‘yes’ and your mind says ‘no’?
How do you respond when someone tells you to do something and at the same time something deep inside of you says, ‘no’?
First and foremost, I think you need to realize that saying ‘No!’ is not an act of rebellion but the result of an inner clarity about who you are and the path you need to walk.
In the beginning of my training, I was taught a variety of instructions both verbal and with hand signals so Nancy could guide me silently and effortlessly through crowds and intense situations. The hard part was when I sensed a danger or a problem and needed for us to move in a different direction. Also, in that moment Nancy needed to listen to and follow me.
One day as we were walking down a street in Ashland Oregon, I sensed a danger. I stopped dead in my tracks planting all four paws in a stance of resistance. Nancy looked at me and said, “What is going on?” Come on, let’s go! I wouldn’t budge. Then she repeated the instruction, “Come on-let’s go!”
I continued to stand firm. She almost repeated the instruction again, but I think a light went on in her mind and she said, “Okay lead the way.”
I immediately turned us around and crossed the street. We hadn’t going more than 25 feet when a truck squealed around the corner landing on the sidewalk where we had previous stood and hit a tree. We stood there frozen realizing what could have happened if I hadn’t spoken up and she hadn’t listened.
We currently are all experiencing challenging situations and in response I think it is best if we learn how to silence the noise between our ears and listen to our inner voice thus creating a situation where we can guide ourselves and others to a place of calm clarity.
If you would like some help remembering how to do this,
I suggest you explore the I Create What I Believe (ICWIB) program where my friend Luke will demonstrate the ICWIB activities and/or attend the FREE Drawing in the Now classes that are taught by Nancy Marie over Zoom the first and third Monday of the month from 4:30 pm-5:00 pm PST.

In a recent interview Dr. Bruce Lipton said, “…Freedom is the ability to create without the limitation of generational programming. The I Create What I Believe! (ICWIB!) Program is a gateway and a pathway into a new and better future because it allows children and (adults) to fully express themselves and to not be limited by the beliefs that have been passed down from generation to generation. This program also frees up children’s and (adults’) minds and allows their creative nature to create a better world for all of us, which is what we need right now!”
