One day Nancy got a call from her friend Judy, who was a brilliant early childhood educator and had a 0 to 5 school. Judy said that there had been an incident at her school that day that she wanted to tell Nancy about.
Well, it seems that she needed her students to stand in line for a short period of time. Though after just a couple of minutes she could feel several meltdowns beginning to brew.
In a flash of genius, she stuck her hands into her pockets and then pulled them out and exclaimed, “…WOW! Look what I found! Her students immediately turned and looked at her. “Magic crayons!” She continued. And then she reached up and pulled down an imaginary piece of paper and said, “I think I am going to scribble on my paper…” And then she immediately began scribbling on an invisible piece of paper with her magic crayons with an exceptional amount of glee.
The children continued to stare at her.
Then she stopped and turned to them and said, “Look in your pockets!” “Check your pockets to see if you have magic crayons too!” She said as she continued to scribble on her imaginary piece of paper.
Within a couple of minutes, they all discovered they too had imaginary crayons and were enthusiastically scribbling on their own imaginary piece of paper.
No complaining, no tears, no meltdowns, no fights, no hassles—just a lot of happy children using their imagination to reduce stress and become more present. In the process Judy had created a group of calm, centered and happy children.

In a recent interview Dr. Bruce Lipton said, “…Freedom is the ability to create without the limitation of generational programming. The I Create What I Believe! (ICWIB!) Program is a gateway and a pathway into a new and better future because it allows children and (adults) to fully express themselves and to not be limited by the beliefs that have been passed down from generation to generation. This program also frees up children’s and (adults’) minds and allows their creative nature to create a better world for all of us, which is what we need right now!”
