I have found that sometimes early childhood hardships can create a unique power when viewed differently. As a child Nancy was plagued with many learning challenges. To learn, she always had to find the connection between things, remember what is important, then reflex on how to utilize, and apply them to her current life.
She never realized the significance of this practice until much later in life. She assumed everyone had to reflect, connect, find the common denominator, and cross-reference every new piece of information they learned to remember and apply it. It never occurred to her that someone could just hear something and apply it. No wonder they could learn so quickly!
Now much later in life she can see that having to wrestle with and make sense of the sensory overload and overwhelming confusion of life in a tedious manner provided her with a unique ability to see the connection between seemingly unrelated situations and to translate that information to others who are currently mired in their own temporary maze of confusion.
The moment she realized the “gift” she had received from her very difficult beginnings the frustration, and resentment dissolved and in its place she experienced gratitude.
Have you discovered a unique gift you may have developed because of some early childhood experience? Have you managed to now apply it to your current challenges? It might be an increased ability to focus. It could also be the ability to see the metaphor in the confusion. We are taught to view the negative, but rarely the positive. Instead, view all challenges as gifts or new doors for the future. This different perspective can help you gain clarity, heal, and transform your life.
If you would like some help finding your unique gifts and how to use them in your current life, I suggest you explore the I Create What I Believe (ICWIB) program where my friend Luke will demonstrate the ICWIB activities and show you how to use them to create a more authentic and joy filled life.

In a recent interview Dr. Bruce Lipton said, “…Freedom is the ability to create without the limitation of generational programming. The I Create What I Believe! (ICWIB!) Program is a gateway and a pathway into a new and better future because it allows children and (adults) to fully express themselves and to not be limited by the beliefs that have been passed down from generation to generation. This program also frees up children’s and (adults’) minds and allows their creative nature to create a better world for all of us, which is what we need right now!”
