I have come to believe that when you find yourself searching for something to make you feel whole—be it a relationship or a new toy—what you may be looking for, or trying to reclaim, is your soul. The loss or disconnect from your soul can feel like an overwhelming emptiness, a disorientation, or even depression.
In all cases, I feel it is important to become still and quiet, go inward, and figure out what you need in that moment and what is missing in your life. The fast-paced life of today can make it difficult for us to maintain a deep connection with our authentic nature or soul, and being disconnected from our soul can also make dealing with life’s challenges even harder.
So what do I do when I find myself feeling empty, lost, overwhelmed, disoriented, or depressed? I usually do one of three things: I go for a long walk with the intent of doing a walking meditation, draw, or do one of the ICWIB!activities. They all have a movement component, which can help me restore balance in my brain stem. They also have the ability to quiet my mind, draw me inward, and help me reconnect my body, mind, and spirit. As soon as that is accomplished, a solution normally rises to the surface.
With this in mind, I invite you to explore some of the ICWIB! art activities and videos for FREE because they are also a wonderful way to quiet your mind, go inward, and reconnect with your true nature or soul.
Also, in a recent interview, Dr. Bruce Lipton said, “Freedom is the ability to create without the limitation of generational programming. The I Create What I Believe! (ICWIB!) Program is a gateway and a pathway into a new and better future because it allows children to fully express themselves and to not be limited by the beliefs that have been passed down from generation to generation. This program also frees up children’s minds and allows their creative nature to create a better world for all of us, which is what we need right now!”
