I first met Dr. Bruce Lipton in 1990. At the time, he was a fellow in Pathology at Stanford Medical School. It was also during this time that he proved in a lab that our beliefs and perceptions, not our genes, control our biology. Out of his discovery came the logical corollary that a change in beliefs can substantially change the course of one’s whole life. Since that time, Bruce’s discovery has generated significant change on the evolution of science, medicine and the lives of thousands.
I can still remember him sitting in my living room and him talking about how he wanted to get his scientific findings into the hands of parents and teachers so our youth today would not be shackled by the beliefs and perceptions they acquired in their formative years.
Instead they would have the ability to understand the real source of their inner conflicts and create a life that was supportive of their true nature.
That fall afternoon 30 years ago planted a seed in me. At the same time, my background in art and movement gave me the tools I needed to create an application of Dr. Lipton’s discoveries that could work for both adults and even very young children.
For several years I tossed ideas around in my head looking for a way to structure the information and a method to make it happen. Then one morning I awoke with an idea of a way to accomplish what Bruce had said he wanted many years before. The idea I had was the I Create What I Believe! (ICWIB) program.
I immediately called Bruce to ask him if my hypothesis would work. He said it would and he especially liked it because it was simple, easy to implement, scientifically sound, and self-initiated.
That was 17 years ago.
I have spent the last seventeen years developing and teaching the ICWIB program to parents, teachers, and individuals who wanted to make a significant change in their life.
During this time of extraordinary upheaval and stress, I want to reach out and remind each of you that if you go to ICreateWhatIBelieve.com and you hit the button on the top of the home page that says ‘EXPLORE’ you will be directed to a page where you can explore some of the ICWIB! art activities and videos for FREE! These deceptively simple tools can help you weather the current storms of change we are all facing and in the process also help you change some inaccurate beliefs and perceptions that may be hindering your ability to thrive.
If after you have explored all of the FREE videos and materials available on the ICWIB website you are interested in additional instruction contact us at info@innereyepublishing.com and we will let you know when the online training program will be available.
