I love winter, and I also love Spring.
So, why do I love winter?
In winter the temperature drops and many of us often encounter snow. When this happens both the snow and even the temperature dropping can almost instantly change our perceptions. Once that happens, we can see things more clearly and respond from our authentic nature.
I think snow is magical because when it covers everything with its freezing crystals it smells different. It feels different and it tastes different. The snow also energizes me and fills me with joy, then if I am lucky, I get to share that magic with others.
Can you remember a time when you picked up a mitten full of snow and tasted the snow? Can, you remember a time where the dropping of the temperature encouraged you to rest and get ready for the wild and unpredictable Spring. Nancy has told me many stories about eating snow and playing in the snow and each year I also create new experiences myself in both the Winter and Spring.
So why do I love the Spring?
In the Spring people seem to spend more time outside, want to play more, and just seem happier. I also get to bake in the sun in the Spring. This all has a positive trickle-down effect on everyone including me.
So how can you take these insights into your daily life?
And how can you possibly accomplish this if your life is already too busy, and you feel pulled in too many directions?
I think the first step is to look at your to-do list realistically. Does everything on your list have to happen today or this week? Or can some of them be postponed? If they all have to be done today or this week, you can still gain the benefits of Winter and Spring by slowing down your breathing and approaching all of your tasks in a joyful manner.
Remember, Winter wants us to slow down and be reflective, while Spring wants us to remember the power of play and enjoy life more. Just replacing one thing on your to-do list and replace it an activity that brings you joy can be a game changer.
If you would like help finding a way to bring the renewed awareness and wisdom of both Winter and Spring into to your daily life, I suggest you explore the I Create What I Believe (ICWIB) program where my friend Luke will demonstrate the ICWIB activities and/or attend the FREE Drawing in the Now classes that are taught by Nancy Marie over Zoom the first and third Monday of the month from 4:30 pm-5:00 pm PST.

In a recent interview Dr. Bruce Lipton said, “…Freedom is the ability to create without the limitation of generational programming. The I Create What I Believe! (ICWIB!) Program is a gateway and a pathway into a new and better future because it allows children and (adults) to fully express themselves and to not be limited by the beliefs that have been passed down from generation to generation. This program also frees up children’s and (adults’) minds and allows their creative nature to create a better world for all of us, which is what we need right now!”
