In this short video, Gordon Hempton, an acoustic ecologist who has spent over thirty years recording the steadily vanishing natural soundscapes, talks about the impact that one square inch of silence can have on nature and the world. As I listened to this video, I began to ponder what the impact that each of us could have on both nature and the world if we took the time to cultivate one square inch of silence within ourselves. Just think of it, if each of us could set aside five minutes each day to cultivate stillness within ourselves, imagine how differently we might respond to the challenges of our day and how our more peaceful demeanor would impact others in our day. In the process, we might find ourselves to be more compassionate, more receptive, more intuitive, and maybe even more productive.
With this in mind, I invite you to explore some of the ICWIB! art activities and videos for FREE because they are an easy way to move out of your reactive mind and into the deep, peaceful quiet of the conscious problem-solving mind.
Also, in a recent interview, Dr. Bruce Lipton said, “Freedom is the ability to create without the limitation of generational programming. The I Create What I Believe! (ICWIB!) Program is a gateway and a pathway into a new and better future because it allows children to fully express themselves and to not be limited by the beliefs that have been passed down from generation to generation. This program also frees up children’s minds and allows their creative nature to create a better world for all of us, which is what we need right now!”
