Art should not be reserved for the elite few nor should it be isolated in fancy galleries. It should be part of life. Our life needs to be filled with its whimsy and delight because then it can help us shift from our reactive mind and fear into our conscious problem-solving mind and love. This in turn can reduce stress and ultimately provide us with the inner guidance and clarity we need to move forward effectively in challenging times.
With that in mind, I would like to share this innovative art form that uses tape, plastic garbage bags and subway exhaust. I have always looked for unusual venues for art, but I must admit I never considered the artistic possibilities of subway exhaust, but that might be because I don’t live in New York.
Using only tape and garbage bags, Joshua Allen Harris has created giant inflatable animals that become animated when fastened to a sidewalk grate. Let his ingenuity ignite your imagination and then let your mind imagine something that could also delight the minds of others as well.
Remember, Albert Einstein said,
“…Imagination is more important than knowledge…”.
With that in mind, I would also like to invite you to explore some of the simple and scientifically sound ICWIB! art activities and videos for FREE, because they can help both you, and the children in your life, learn how to activate your conscious mind and imagination effortlessly thus creating an opportunity for you to reduce stress and create the life you really want.
