Do you act without thinking something through? Or do you spend so much time thinking about something that you never take action? When I was younger, I was a bit impulsive. I would get an idea and be off and running. Sometimes it worked, but often I wouldn’t end up with the result I was looking for. Other times, because of fear or anxiety, I would over-think my response until the window of opportunity had passed. Both approaches left me feeling powerless. When I learned how to detect when I was in my conscious problem-solving mind versus my unconscious reactive mind, and also learned how to switch from one brain state to another effortlessly, I was able to step out of both the unproductive not-thinking and over-thinking patterns of approaching life.
ICWIB activities are a great way to learn how to detect when you are in the conscious problem-solving mind versus the unconscious, reactive mind.
I invite you to explore some of the ICWIB art activities and videos for FREE.
