Video from KarmaTube
In this uplifting video a woman, who had experienced a traumatic past, uses her fingers, her eyes, and her heart to teach young people from difficult backgrounds the skill of origami. Why? She found that making something beautiful could be very healing and transformative.
Even if their scars do not go completely away in the process, they learn to use the lines of their scars to create something of beauty to share with others. This can be a very empowering experience. Also, as she eloquently points out, that it is difficult for one person alone to make a 1000 cranes, but with a collective effort, bit by bit, each person’s potential for positive growth and hope can be realized as well as1000 cranes made by the many.
With this in mind, I would also like to I invite you to explore some of the ICWIB! art activities and videos for FREE because they are another way to activate your conscious mind and in the process promote positive growth and healing.
