Dr. Bruce Lipton has talked about the relationship between stress and the immune system. He has said that when the body is stressed our subconscious mind is designed to automatically take over and run our whole system. When this happens our normal blood flow is redirected to our limbs because the mind assumes a tiger is trying to eat us. This is our fight or flight response.
Redirecting the blood flow to our limbs is a great plan if a tiger is chasing us, but unfortunately this also means our immune system is suppressed and our system is also being run by the fundamental beliefs, perceptions, and behaviors we acquired in the first six years of life.
So if you find yourself feeling worried, or overwhelmed then make sure you take some time every day to do something that activates your conscious mind because that will also automatically suspend your subconscious mind and any negative beliefs that may hinder your ability to remain clear headed and effective.
