The vulture is not a very attractive bird when it is just sitting on a roost, but I think the sight of a large vulture soaring effortlessly through the sky is magnificent and inspiring. With a body length of about two feet and a wingspan of six feet, this bird’s breathtaking and soul stirring presence is easy to recognize.
As we try to maintain clarity in this time of great upheaval, these magnificent birds can offer us some wisdom about riding the “current”. Their fully extended and motionless wings enable them to effortlessly ride the thermal pockets of the skies. At the same time when we fully extend our hearts and our arms in a compassionate manner, while also maintaining an inner stillness, we too can ride the thermal pockets of the skies and be inspired to make a difference.
Now is the time for all of us to expand our wings and lighten our load by releasing old behaviors and their underlying fundamental beliefs. This in turn can help us become more present and bring about more balance not only in ourselves, but also to the whole the world.
So how can we accomplish this?
There are many ways to create change, though in these moments of inner conflict and confusion I usually reach for my pen, pencil or crayon with the intention to play with and explore one of the ICWIB activities because I know they will help me to move out of fear and confusion and into the current moment. Once I am there I can hear and feel the voice of the Universe guiding me.
So if you find yourself in such a moment I invite you to explore some of the ICWIB art activities and videos for FREE, because they can help you remember how to spread your wings, become more present and create a life that is a true reflection of who you are and what you believe.
