Our body is designed to entrain with its environment, but it actually has two environments to draw from—your external environment (the people, places and things outside and around you) and your internal environment—your authentic self.
When you are in a calm, and balanced environment it is easy to restore and maintain balance in your body by entraining with your external environment. On the other hand, when you are in a stressful, chaotic, or non-supportive environment it can be more difficult to restore or maintain balance if you try and entrain with your external environment. In these situations it is best to entrain with your inner environment.
So how can you purposely strengthen the connection with your internal environment?
