Today I would like to talk about masks.
We all wear masks from time to time. It is a way to protect ourselves, hide our inner most feeling, maneuver difficult situations, and explore new ways of being. Unfortunately, if you aren’t aware of your mask and the reason you feel a need to wear a mask in a certain situation you can lose touch with yourself, your purpose and your path.
In my mid to late twenties I was a movement teacher, an artist, and street performer. As a movement teacher, I studied how the body moved as the result of inner feelings and how movement could help you heal and become the person you were designed to be.
As an artist I made large interactive puppet sculptures that encouraged people to reconnect with their authentic nature and inner voice. As a street performer I was a puppet and storyteller. Three of my main characters were a giraffe, a monkey and a snake. The stories were simple stories of self-discovery, courage, and transformation and through the stories I was able to help individuals shift their perceptions and gain at least a flicker of their authentic nature.
With this in mind, I invite you to explore some of the ICWIB! art activities and videos for FREE, because they too have the capacity to help you activate your conscious mind and in the process discover the person you were designed to be.
