“The sea, once it casts its spell, holds one in its net of wonder forever.” ~Jacques Yves Cousteau.
Roger Hanson, a retired schoolteacher and an ocean advocate, has always loved the sea. He felt he was called to live near the ocean after a chance encounter with a whale many years ago. Then one day, while diving in Long Beach, California he happened upon a tiny species that seemed oddly out of place. He has since dedicated his life to protecting the habitat of the Pacific Seahorse, and he has come to be called the Seahorse Whisperer.
As I watched this video I found myself pondering how can we distinguish a calling from wishful thinking? How can we know what we are experiencing isn’t just a random occurrence but or a fabricated illusion? Then when we are clear what we are feeling is a calling, how do we respond? Will this just be a momentary diversion or will our life taking on a whole new trajectory?
We are living in a time of great change, but to actively participate in a positive and constructive manner we often need to change. So how can we be sure that we are changing and adapting in a manner that is in alignment with our true nature and supportive of the global good?
With these questions rolling around in my mind, I invite you to explore some of the ICWIB! art activities and videos for FREE because they are a wonderful way to activate your conscious mind, quiet your inner chatter, help you identify your calling and then propel you down your chosen path.
