“OM, OM on the range. Where the deer and the antelope play. Where seldom is heard a discouraging word and skies are not cloudy all day.”
What do you envision when you meditate or daydream? What would you like to change in your life? For centuries, wise teachers have been telling us that our thoughts and perceptions create our life. Now even scientists are telling us that our thoughts, beliefs, and perceptions play a strong hand in the molding or creation of our life experience.
Where do you go when you meditate? Where does your mind transport you to when you daydream? To the great open plains? The ocean? The woods? To the tropics? The mountains? When the over-saturated world of today throws me off balance, I usually go somewhere still. I know that in a blink of an eye I can transport myself back to the Great Plains where I grew up, to my grandfather’s garden, to a special lake or trail and in that moment I can reconnect with myself and what is important. So the next time you are feeling lost or overwhelmed, close your eyes and return to your ‘Home, Home on the range…”
I have found that playing with the ICWIB activities is a great way to still your mind, go inward, change your fundamental beliefs and perceptions about life and return to your “Home, Home on the Range.”
I invite you to explore some of the ICWIB art activities and videos for FREE.
