If you currently don’t have a technique to help you…
Today I would like to talk about procrastination.
Procrastination is defined as the action of delaying or postponing something—a kind of avoidance. Now I think it is important to not put ALL delaying or postponing of things into the same soup pot, because I think there is a BIG difference between mindless avoidance or delaying and mindful avoidance or delaying. I also think it is important to uncover the underlying cause of procrastination or delaying of something.
So if you find yourself procrastinating, instead of spacing out or sweeping the issue under the rug, I recommend you stop, go inward, and quiet your mind. Then in that place of internal stillness try to uncover why you are not moving forward with affective action.
Also if you currently don’t have a technique to help you go inward and explore a new course of action, I invite you to explore some of the ICWIB! art activities and videos for FREE. Why? They are a simple and highly effective way to quiet your mind and facility inward reflection and mindfulness.
